I spent this past weekend at the South Central Farm in Los Angeles, CA. For over 3 weeks farmers, activists, and celebrities were resisting eviction to save this beautiful, cultural oasis from being turned into a Walmart distribution center.
Today (June 13th 2006) hundreds of police in riot gear stormed the farm to evict those who we're peacefully standing ground to save the farm.

The organic food at the farm. Now where will the families get their food from? Most of these folks cant afford organic food from the store.
